Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce unveils new logo

Connecting the dots: The GNPCC new logo signifies that members make connections when they join the Chamber.

The Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce recently unveiled a new logo at a “Meet the New President Breakfast” at Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5.

Pam Henshall has served as president since May. She replaced Al Taubenberger, who resigned after 23 years to run for City Council.

The new logo signifies that members make connections when they join the Chamber.

Henshall described the Chamber, which was founded in 1922, as one that is filled with great history and tradition. It has an engaged board of directors, she said, and a small, but mighty, staff.

The breakfast was co-sponsored by the FOP, New Courtland Senior Services and the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation.

Taubenberger, who won his Council race last week, likes the direction the Chamber is headed.

“I really like the new logo. It’s very descriptive. And I think Pam Henshall is the right fit for the Chamber at this time,” he said.

The Chamber will hold its Awards of Excellence Celebration on Thursday, Nov. 12, at Belle Voir Manor at Pen Ryn Estate, in Bensalem. The honorees will be Chapman Ford/VW Sales Inc., Realtor Charlie Boland and Sister Patricia Downs, of the National Shrine of Saint Katharine Drexel.

The Chamber will hold a Business After Hours (formerly business card exchange) event on Tuesday, Nov. 17, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at National Penn Bank, 12051 Knights Road.

And plans are already underway for the annual Bold in Business (formerly Business is Blooming) expo, scheduled for May 2016.
