Men steal prescriptions from Tacony pharmacy

Two men used a demand note to steal prescription pills from a Rite Aid pharmacy in Tacony on Oct. 30.

The heist occurred at about 5:50 p.m. on that Sunday at 6327 Torresdale Ave. The men approached the pharmacy counter and handed a threatening demand note to the 46-year-old woman pharmacist. She complied with the instructions and surrendered an undisclosed quantity of pills. Police did not specify what type of narcotics were stolen.

One of the crooks was last seen fleeing eastbound on Levick Street, while the other was last seen going northbound on Torresdale.

One suspect was described as black, 20 years old, 5 feet 4 inches tall and thin with a dark complexion, a light-colored baseball cap with unknown printing, a gray Adidas hoodie with green printing on the front, dark pants and brown boots. The other robber was described as white, 20 years old, with a scruffy beard, a gray hoodie, blue jeans and black shoes.
