Authorities found the alleged attacker, Derrick Anderson, on Tuesday morning about a day after releasing surveillance images of the suspect publicly. Anderson, 21, was charged in Bucks County with burglary, indecent assault and related offenses.

On Nov. 26 at about 5 a.m., Bensalem police were called to the Lafayette Gardens complex at 520 Bristol Pike in Andalusia, where the victim reported that an unknown man entered her apartment through an unlocked door or window while she and her 10-year-old daughter were sleeping. The woman awoke and fought off the intruder, who assaulted her sexually and fled on foot. Police did not disclose the age of the victim.

Bensalem police subsequently obtained surveillance video from the Sunoco at Frankford Avenue and Knights Road, which is a few hundred yards from the crime scene. The surveillance camera captured images of the suspect around the time of the assault. Police did not disclose how or where specifically they found the suspect. ••
