The dinner raises money to aid families who are struggling with homelessness in finding permanent housing. Those who donate will receive a one-of-a-kind handcrafted bowl to serve as a reminder of the thousands of children who go without meals or a place to call home.

Mike McGrath of WHYY’s You Bet Your Garden will host three dinner seatings at 4, 5:30 and 7 p.m. Tickets cost $25 for adults and $10 for students and children. Visit philashelter.org for information. ••
