Church hosts music and drama camp
Crescentville United Methodist Church, 412 E. Sentner St., will host a music and drama camp through Friday, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Religious service planned at St. Martin’s
The eighth annual Fatima Holy Hours for World Peace will take place on Wednesday, July 13, at 7 p.m. at St. Martin of Tours Church, at Cheltenham Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard.
This will be the third in a series of Fatima Holy Hours sponsored by the World Apostolate of Fatima. ••
Jazz concert Thursday at Glen Foerd
Glen Foerd on the Delaware, 5001 Grant Ave., will host a concert on Thursday, July 14, at 7 p.m., featuring The Red Hot Ramblers, who play 1920s jazz music.

Grief support group holding meetings
Donna Glatz, widow of slain Lawncrest jeweler William Glatz, will hold Heal Your Heart From Loss at the Free Library of Northampton Township, 25 Upper Holland Road in Richboro, on July 13 and Aug. 4.
Another meeting will take place on July 27 at the James E. Kinney Senior Center, 165 Township Road in Richboro. All sessions run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Free concerts announced in Tacony
Tacony will host five free Thursday night concerts this summer. Disston Recreation Center, 4423 Longshore Ave., will be the site of concerts on July 14 (5/3 Woodland and S.B. Deluxe); July 28 (Charlie Gracie); Aug. 11 (Giana Lynn and Civic-Minded Fools); and Aug. 25 (Scribe Video Center Street Movies and Mike Shackleton).
On Sept. 8, Lardner’s Point Park, Levick Street and the Delaware River, will host a concert by Sean K. Preston and The Loaded Pistols.

Northeast Chamber golf outing on July 18
The Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce will hold its 94th annual Directors Cup Golf Challenge on Monday, July 18, at the Union League Golf Club at Torresdale, 3801 Grant Ave.
The cost is $325. Registration and lunch will be at 11:30 a.m. There will be a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

Golf benefit for eye tumors in kids
Love From Liam Inc. will sponsor a golf fundraiser on Monday, July 18, at Talamore Country Club in Ambler.
The nonprofit raises awareness and funding for children during their treatments for retinoblastoma, the most common eye tumor in kids.
The organization was inspired by Liam Spingler’s diagnosis and fight last year. After being diagnoses at 6 months old, he was treated at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Wills Eye Hospital.

Boyle hosting upcoming events
State Rep. Kevin Boyle will host two events this month at his office at 7801 Hasbrook Ave. in Fox Chase.
A representative from the American Legion will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, July 18, to assist with veteran service issues.
Boyle will also be partnering with the Fox Chase Cancer Center to host his annual mobile mammography event outside of his office at 9 a.m. on July 22. Appointments are available starting at 9 a.m.
Women must be 40 or older; may not be breast feeding nor have breast fed within the last nine months; must not have had a breast cancer diagnosis within the past three years; must not be under treatment for breast cancer; and must not have had a mammogram in 12 months.

Support group available for vets
Healing Ajax is an innovative, brothers-in-arms approach to helping Iraq, Afghanistan and other war veterans reintegrate into society. This free support group is open to all U.S. military combat veterans and meets on Mondays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Torresdale Mansion Conference Room on the campus of Aria-Jefferson’s Torresdale Campus, 10800 Knights Road.
It’s possible that only a fellow veteran can truly understand the transition from battlefield to homefront. Healing Ajax is not clinical therapy. It’s a peer support group in which veterans successfully share their traumatic events and coping skills with their comrades who are going through similar experiences. It’s veterans helping veterans, making sure they don’t feel alone, giving them a support network and helping them find the assistance they need — all in a way that protects their anonymity.
