Maternity BVM to hold Blue Mass
Maternity BVM Church, 9220 Old Bustleton Ave., will host a Blue Mass on Sunday, Feb. 7, at 11 a.m.
The Mass is to show appreciation and support to all the men and women who serve the city as police officers, firefighters, military personnel and EMTs.
At the conclusion of the Mass, all of the honored guests and their families are invited to enjoy light refreshments and a hospitality reception.

Library hosting technical school fair
Northeast Regional Library, 2228 Cottman Ave., will host a technical school fair on Saturday, Feb. 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There will be representatives from schools that offer career training, such as Aviation Maintenance Institute, Bucks County School of Beauty Culture Inc., Community College of Philadelphia, Computer Technology Institute, ITT Technical Institute, Kaplan Career Institute, Lincoln Technical Institute, Orleans Technical College, PENNCO Tech, PRISM Career Institute, Roadmasters Driving School and Star Career Academy.

Benefit for substance abusers is Saturday
Angels in Motion will host a benefit on Saturday, Feb. 6, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Riverside Community Church, 239 Columbia Ave. in Horsham. AIM is a nonprofit that goes into the streets to offer support and resources to substance abusers.
There will be raffle baskets, music and food.
Donations are being accepted for clothing, snacks, gift cards, beverages and baked goods.

Alumnae Tea event at St. Hubert High School
St. Hubert High School will host its Annual Alumnae Tea on Sunday, Feb, 7, from 1 to 3 p.m.

St. Martha Parish celebrating 50th
St. Martha Parish will be celebrating its 50th jubilee in 2016 with the following special liturgical and social events:
• Feb. 13, liturgy and blessing for those married at St. Martha.
• April 2, auction.
• April 10, communion breakfast and Hall of Fame induction of new class.
• April 17, anointing of sick liturgy.
• June 5, closing liturgy, with Archbishop Charles Chaput as celebrant, followed by celebration at The Philadelphia Ballroom. ••
Deer Meadows earns five-star rating
The Pennsylvania Homecare Association announced that member agency Deer Meadows Home Health and Support Services, 8301 Roosevelt Blvd., has earned 5 stars from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services through a new rating system for home health care providers.
Only seven agencies in Pennsylvania achieved this rating.
“The people of Deer Meadows make all the difference in upholding the highest standards in delivering home health services. I credit our clinical and support staff for their dedication to our patients,” said Stanley Rynkiewicz, administrator at Deer Meadows.
