Arrest made in fatal hit-and-run

A Northeast Philadelphia woman was arrested on April 20 in connection with a fatal hit-and-run vehicle crash in Andalusia in October.

Jennifer Coyle, 32, was charged with leaving the scene and driving while under the influence of alcohol, according to philly.com. Bensalem Township police did not respond to a telephone message requesting comment on the case.

Shortly after 8 a.m. on Oct. 28, another motorist found the body of Andrew Miller, 29, lying along State Road, near Mill Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said that Miller had been walking northbound from the Torresdale train station to his apartment when a vehicle struck him along the roadway. The motorist then left the scene.

Police turned to the news media that morning in an effort to find witnesses to the crash. Coyle contacted police, told them she was the driver and went to the station for questioning, but she was not charged at the time. ••
