American Legion Post 366 to host two upcoming baseball fundraisers

The Cpl. John Loudenslager American Legion Post 366 baseball team is almost a century old and still going strong in Fox Chase. However, the team can only survive with the help of generous donations.

Members of the community can support the team in two upcoming events. On Thursday, June 18, Post 366 will sponsor a minor league baseball outing as the Reading Fightin Phils visit the Trenton Thunder, Eastern League affiliate of the Yankees, at Arm and Hammer Park in Trenton.

Tickets for the game and a fireworks show at the ballpark cost $11 through Post 366. A bus will leave the post at 5:30 p.m. in advance of the 7 p.m. first pitch. Post 366 is at 7976 Oxford Ave. Those wishing to take the bus will pay an additional $10 per person.

Also, Post 366 is bringing back summertime bingo. The next game will be on the evening of Friday, June 19. All games cost $2. The post plans to host monthly games during the summer. For tickets or information about the baseball trip or bingo, contact Matt at 215–206–0281 or Larry at 267–615–6894. ••
