Mayfair Business Association opposes church’s use of Devon

The Mayfair Business Association has voted to oppose a bid by Kingdom Life Christian Center to seek a special exemption to operate a church, day care and food bank at 6325 Frankford Ave., in the former Devon Theater.

The Mayfair Civic Association will hold a special meeting on Monday, June 15, at 7:30 p.m. at the Mayfair Community Center, 2990 St. Vincent St. A vote will be taken on the proposal. Opponents of the plan cite congestion in the area, adding that there are already enough day cares and food banks in the vicinity.
