Someone should tell this guy you’re supposed to spend dollars at the dollar store, not take the dollars.

The “guy” in question is a serial armed robber who, police say, has knocked off at least four Northeast Philly dollar stores since June 11. The most recent case occurred on July 19 at Dollar Tree, 8045 Frankford Ave., in Holmesburg. At about 11:10 a.m., the crook approached a sales counter, pointed a black and silver handgun at a cashier and warned two other cashiers that, “You got seconds to fill the bags.” The robber made off with $700 and fled in an unknown direction.

Similarly, the same man went to Family Dollar at 4501 Castor Ave. in Juniata at about 4:45 p.m. on July 12, pointed a black and silver gun at a manager and threatened, “Give me all the money or I will pop you.” He stole $300 and fled northbound on Castor.

Police believe the same man robbed $400 from Oxford Dollar Store at 5401 Oxford Ave. on July 10 and $600 from King Perfume and Variety at 4602 Frankford Ave. on June 11.
