Pompeii is a gorgeous male terrier mix who weighs about 60 pounds. He is at Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control, at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave. His tag number is A28174820.
Pompeii came to the shelter as a stray, and can be a little shy at first. Once he knows someone, he turns into a silly dog who loves to play and go for walks. He seems to be housetrained, although he might need a refresher course.
Adoption hours are weekdays from 1 to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ••
Twinkie is a sweetheart
Twinkie is a playful and energetic young adult who was rescued while trying to fend for himself on the city streets.
He is in the care of Northeast Animal Rescue.
The 20-month-old cat loves crinkle balls and chasing a laser pointer. He gets along well with other cats.
Twinkie is neutered and current on vaccinations, and has tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses.
