A robber didn’t waste time putting on a disguise before he knocked off a Wissinoming convenience store on Jan. 4. In fact, he didn’t even stop to take the cash, according to police.

All he wanted were cigarettes. And he got lots of them from the Wawa at 6001 Harbison Ave., police said.

The unknown bandit entered the store at about 4:40 a.m., walked behind the sales counter, snatched several cartons of smokes and placed them into a plastic bag. When employees confronted him, he placed his hand into his jacket pocket as if he were concealing a weapon. The employees backed off.

The robber fled the store in an older blue Pontiac Bonneville with the Pennsylvania tag JLM-1642. He was last seen northbound on Harbison Avenue. No injuries were reported.

Police did not disclose information about the license plate. The robber was described as Hispanic, 20 to 25 years old, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, 180 pounds and stocky with a gray hoodie, blue jeans and blue sneakers.
