St. Christopher School honors local police and firefighters

Honoring our heroes: St. Christopher School in Somerton honored local police and firefighters for their dedicated service during the school’s Community Day on Jan. 28. St. Christopher held Community Day in conjunction with Catholic Schools Week in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. During the program, students from kindergarten through eighth grade sang songs and gave thanks for about 50 firefighters and police in attendance. The students presented plaques of appreciation to the public servants. The attendees included (from left) firefighters Perry Lawrynkiewicz and Paul Catto, student council officers Michael Whalen and Colleen Dean, Fire Lt. Ralph Santiago of Engine 58, Capt. Frank Bachmayer of the 7th Police District and Sgt. Thomas Sileo, also of the 7th.
