Police search for man using stolen credit card

An unidentified man used the stolen credit card information of a Pittsburgh-area resident to make five purchases at supermarkets in the Northeast in December, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

State troopers released a surveillance photo of the alleged fraudster on Feb. 11. According to a news release, the complaint originated from the state police’s Greensburg Station, about 30 miles southeast of downtown Pittsburgh. On Dec. 11, the man made three purchases at Food Basics, 15501 Bustleton Ave., as well as two purchases at Giant Food Store, 2550 Grant Ave., tallying $813.35 in charges to the stolen credit card account.
