Mayfair Business group promotes holiday events

Members at the recent Mayfair Business Association meeting, held at Cottman Beverage, discussed issues such as a Christmas decorating contest, unruly Abraham Lincoln High School students and safety poles placed on the 3500 block of Ryan Ave. (at Leon Street) to prevent motorists from going the wrong direction on the one-way street. The group also promoted a couple of upcoming events.

On Sunday, Dec. 13, Santa Claus will appear at World of Animals, 6503 Frankford Ave., to have his picture taken with pets. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is no cost, and photos will be emailed and put on Facebook. Call 215–624–8433.
