Christina Rymarczuk was recognized for her academic achievements at her recent graduation from Universal Technical Institute in Exton. Rymarczuk graduated from UTI’s Automotive Technology Program with Toyota Professional Automotive Training with a 4.0 GPA and 100 percent attendance. She received five “Student of the Course” awards (earning the highest grade of the course) as well as 18 Directors List Awards, and was nominated into the Alpha Beta Kappa Honor Society.

University of the Sciences recognized graduates as part of its 194th commencement celebration. Here are the local graduates: Malalay Ahmady (biology degree, minor in social science); Torpekai Ahmady (biology degree, minor in social science); Meri Akopova (pharmacology and toxicology degree); Sony Babu (pharmaceutics master’s degree); Nina Bord (cum laude with a doctor of pharmacy degree); Allen Chirackel (doctor of pharmacy degree); Ross Fargnoli (summa cum laude with a doctor of physical therapy degree); Jessica Grochowski (summa cum laude with a master of occupational therapy degree); Allison Januszka (doctor of pharmacy degree); Akil Kalaparambath (health science degree with a minor in exercise science and wellness management); Siu Li (humanities and science degree); Tiffany Liu (doctor of pharmacy degree with a minor in business); Ligi Mathew (doctor of pharmacy degree); Jenna Michalowski (health science degree); Stephanie Pham (pharmaceutical and healthcare business degree); Alicia Samuel (health science in exercise science and wellness management degree); Rita St. Clair (humanities and science degree); Christina Thampi (master of occupational therapy degree); Liya Varghese (master of occupational therapy degree).

Saint Joseph’s University accounting major Alexandra Ferraro received a $2,000 scholarship from the Tax Executive Institute. The TEI scholarship was founded to help provide financial assistance to an undergraduate in accounting or finance, with an interest in pursuing a career in taxation.

McDaniel College in Maryland recently awarded 358 bachelor’s degrees during its 145th commencement ceremony. Local students who graduated include Kenneth Rankins, who earned a degree in political science and international studies, and Sarah Sackett, who received a degree in social work.

Hofstra University congratulates Rachael Freedman and Nicolette Michalowski for being named to the spring 2015 dean’s list for their outstanding academic achievement. Students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 during the semester to make the dean’s list.

During the recent Saint Joseph’s University commencement exercises, student awards were presented to graduates who represented the best in their academic field of study. Carl Cardozo received the Ancient Studies Award for top academic achievement in the program. Cardozo earned a bachelor’s degree in history and ancient studies from the College of Arts and Sciences.

Bucknell University has released the dean’s list for outstanding academic achievement during the 2015 spring semester. Dean’s list students have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0. Local dean’s list students are Akim Adams and Vincent Ancona.

About 1,800 students have made the spring semester 2015 dean’s List for academic achievement at Coastal Carolina University. They include Briana Mody, a senior majoring in exercise and sport science, and Jenna Plunkett, a freshman majoring in English.

More than 1,700 students have been named to the spring 2015 dean’s list at Kutztown University. To be eligible for dean’s list, an undergraduate student must be registered for at least 12 credits and have a minimum grade point average of 3.60. Veronika Vanisheuskaya has been named to the dean’s list at Paul Smith’s College in New York for the spring 2015 semester. Vanisheuskaya is majoring in hotel, resort and tourism management. Dean’s list students must earn a semester average of 3.3 or higher to receive this distinction.

The following students achieved Juniata College’s dean’s list for the spring semester of 2015: Michael Terrence Krolikowski, son of Thomas F. Krolikowski and Kimberly A. Curry-Krolikowski; and Jamie Lynn Mistretta, daughter of Joseph and Angela Mistretta. The dean’s list recognizes grade point averages of at least 3.6 out of a possible 4.0.

Carol Mastrosante earned a doctor of physical therapy degree from The University of Scranton at its graduate commencement.
