The University of Scranton conferred more than 675 post-baccalaureate degrees at its recent commencement ceremony. Area residents earning degrees were Jessica L. Grossman, Master of Business Administration degree with a major in enterprise resources planning; Gina Staller, Master of Business Administration degree with a major in marketing; Lisa M. Fenster, Master of Science degree with a major in curriculum and instruction; Lynn M. Smith, Master of Science degree with a major in curriculum and instruction; Colleen M. Donte Davenport made the Honors List for the spring 2015 semester at Louisburg College in North Carolina. To be named to the Honors List, a student must have completed at least 12 or more hours of college credit in a given semester and have a semester grade point average between 3.0 and 3.49.

The following local students recently graduated from the University of the Sciences: Noel Abraham, Milie George, Svyatoslav Kredens and Simi Mathew each received a bachelor of science in pharmaceutical and healthcare studies and now continue on a path toward a doctor of pharmacy degree. Kredens is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, National Honor Society of First-Year Students. Stephen Varghese received a bachelor of science in health science summa cum laude and now continues on a path toward a doctor of physical therapy degree. The following students were named the top student in their department/college: Phanvu Chau, of Crescentville, Information Technology; Herbert M. Gress Jr., of Fox Chase, Finance; Edward Appleton, of Somerton, winner of the Victor Brooks Award, given to a student with the highest GPA in the College of Professional and Continuing Studies.

Lebanon Valley College has announced its dean’s list recipients for the spring 2015 semester. Dean’s list students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0. Local students who made the dean’s list include Rachel Jo Kelly, a graduate of Archbishop Ryan High School who recently graduated with a degree in health science; Ryan Muldoon, a graduate of Father Judge, who is pursuing a degree in accounting; and Jessica Coughlin, a graduate of Philadelphia Academy Charter School, who is pursuing a degree in English and sociology.

Jeremy D. Rieth graduated from Elizabethtown College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice. The class of 2015 boasted 77 earning their Master of Science degrees, 126 with Bachelor of Arts degrees, 282 with Bachelor of Science degrees, 15 who have earned their Bachelor of Music degrees and 14 with bachelor’s degrees in social work.
