The victim arrived at the Pathmark at Bleigh Avenue and Large Street at 6:07 p.m. and parked his vehicle in the lot, intending to deposit a bag of cash at the Citizens Bank inside the store. Before he exited his car, two men in a minivan parked behind him and approached his car on foot. One of the crooks pulled a gun and tried to force his way into the victim’s car, but the victim kept the door closed. The robbers shattered the driver’s window, then the gunman shot the victim once in the arm.

A short time later, one of the robbers shattered the passenger side window of the victim’s car and grabbed the bank bag. NBC10 reported that the bag contained $70,000 cash. Police did not disclose the amount of money or the nature of the victim’s business.

Both robbers returned to their minivan and were last seen fleeing northbound on Large Street. Police described them both as black men wearing black “Muslim garb.” The gunman is 5 feet 3 inches tall and was clean-shaven. The other robber is 6 feet tall and wore a black mask.

They were operating a white Dodge Caravan with an unknown Pennsylvania tag.
