Suspect sought in Pennypack Park theft

A Pennypack park user had his wallet and mobile phone stolen from his unattended car on Oct. 15. Now police are searching for the man seen using a pilfered credit card at two Northeast retail stores later that day.

Surveillance video from the stores shows a black man, 40 to 50 years old, with a medium build, a red or maroon pullover sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black Nike hat. The man allegedly used the victim’s credit card at Sears and Gamestop, both on the 7300 block of Bustleton Ave. He made several purchases and loaded the items into a maroon or red four-door sedan, possibly a Buick or Mercury, police said.
