Irish conflict lecture in Tacony

Anne Cadwallader, author of the book Lethal Allies, will lecture at Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 39, 7229 Tulip St., on Oct. 8.

The book offers a historical account of The Troubles in Ireland from a Republican perspective with specific information about collusion between the British government, Northern Ireland security forces and loyalist paramilitaries in not only state-sponsored sectarian assassinations of its citizens, but one of the worst atrocities south of the border, the Dublin-Monaghan Bombings. It reveals evidence and classified information involving the deaths of more than 120 people in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Cadwallader will be at AOH Division 39 from 8:30 to 10 p.m. She will provide an outline of her work and be available for Q&A as well as a book signing afterward.

The lecture is free but donations will be requested. Books will be available for purchase. ••
