Suspect sought in Wawa robbery

Po­lice are try­ing to identi­fy a man who robbed a Wawa in Wissi­nom­ing on May 16.

The hold-up oc­curred at 6001 Har­bison Ave. at about 11:45 p.m. when a man wear­ing a black hood­ie with the hood up, black sunglasses and black jeans ap­proached a cash­ier and de­man­ded the con­tents of the re­gister. The ban­dit in­dic­ated he had a weapon, ac­cord­ing to po­lice.

After the em­ploy­ee com­plied with the de­mand, the rob­ber fled with an un­dis­closed amount of cash. He was last seen on foot north­bound on Walk­er Street. He was de­scribed as white and 30 years old with a beard. He also wore a white striped shirt un­der the black sweat­shirt, along with black sneak­ers.
