Target robbers strike again

Police say that a group of unidentified armed robbers has struck twice at Far Northeast businesses since April 19, and committed a third heist in Upper Southampton Township, Bucks County.

The initial robbery occurred on April 19 at Target, 11000 Roosevelt Blvd., shortly after 10 p.m. When employees closed the store for the night, three men emerged from the restroom, brandished a gun and demanded cash. The men took between $10,000 and $30,000 from the store and were last seen fleeing on foot toward an apartment complex on the 10000 block of Haldeman Ave.

On May 12, police were called to another commercial robbery at McDonald’s, 9996 Roosevelt Blvd. Employees told the officers that two unknown men entered the restaurant shortly after 10:30 p.m., brandished a handgun and stole money from a safe and a cash register. The robbers were last seen fleeing on foot toward Hilspach Street and Sandy Road.

Authorities have linked a third robbery to the same group. It occurred on May 13 at a TD Bank at 1110 Street Road in Upper Southampton.

One of the crooks was described as black, 5 feet 5 inches tall with a dark complexion, a beard, a black hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses and a handgun. A second suspect was described as black, about 6 feet 3 inches tall and 220 pounds with a beard and a gray hooded sweatshirt. A third suspect was described as a black man with a dark complexion and a gray hooded sweatshirt.
