Where’s the ba­con?

Whiskers is a cute 1-to 2-year-old fe­male dog who weighs about 40 pounds.

The dog loves people and play­ing out­side. She also en­joys ba­con-flavored treats.

Whiskers is at Phil­adelphia’s An­im­al Care and Con­trol, at 111 W. Hunt­ing Park Ave.

Ad­op­tion hours are week­days from 1 to 8 p.m. and week­ends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ••

Show some Mercy

Mercy is a hand­some, very tiny kit­ten who was orphaned and is now in foster care via North­east An­im­al Res­cue.

The 13-month-old cat is play­ful and af­fec­tion­ate. He gets along well with dogs, kids and oth­er cats. He likes to nap in the sun­shine and play with toys.

Mercy is neutered, mi­cro­chipped and cur­rent on vac­cin­a­tions, and has tested neg­at­ive for the fe­line im­mun­ode­fi­ciency and leuk­emia vir­uses.
