Gunmen sought in cell phone store heist

Po­lice are try­ing to identi­fy two masked gun­men who robbed a pair of cell phone stores, one in the North­east and an­oth­er in Roxbor­ough, on May 5.

At about 1:40 p.m., the rob­bers pulled stock­ings over their faces, entered the Metro PCS store at 6820 Bustleton Ave. in Castor Gar­dens, poin­ted hand­guns at em­ploy­ees and de­man­ded cash and cell phones. After ob­tain­ing an un­dis­closed amount of mer­chand­ise, the crooks fled, run­ning north­bound on Bustleton.

Two hours later, the men robbed the T-Mo­bile at 6024 Ridge Ave. Dur­ing the heist, the crooks forced em­ploy­ees in­to a rear of­fice and stole about $1,000 in cash be­fore flee­ing south­bound on Ridge.

The rob­bers were de­scribed as black and 17 to 25 years old. One is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 175 pounds, the oth­er is slightly short­er and thin­ner.
