Oxford Circle blaze displaces 12

Twelve people were dis­placed by an early morn­ing Fri­day house fire on the 1400 block of Ros­a­lie Street in Ox­ford Circle. 

The fire was re­por­ted at 2:12 a.m., and fire­fight­ers ar­rived five minutes later to see heavy flames com­ing out of the rear of the build­ing, ac­cord­ing to Capt. Clif­ford Gil­li­am. 

No in­jur­ies were re­por­ted, he said.

The Red Cross provided food and cloth­ing to the dis­placed oc­cu­pants, ac­cord­ing to spokes­wo­man Janice Win­ston. She ad­ded that they were sheltered by re­l­at­ives. ••
