The Philadelphia Police Department’s Special Victims Unit on Friday released details about two ongoing investigations in the Northeast.

On March 11, a 16-year-old girl reported that she was approached by a man in a vehicle who made lewd comments to her as she walked to school. The incident occurred at about 8:20 a.m. on the 4300 block of Penn St. in Frankford. Initially, the man pulled up alongside the girl and attempted to start a conversation. When the girl called her mother on her cell phone, the man directed lewd comments at her then drove away, police said.

The man was described as black and operating a black Jeep with silver trim around the windows.

On March 12 at about 9:15 p.m., an unknown man entered another man’s home on the 1100 block of Solly Ave. in Fox Chase and indecently assaulted the resident. The 31-year-old victim said that the intruder accessed the house through an unlocked door and fled on foot after the assault.

The intruder was described as white, 45 to 50 years old and stocky with a yellow shirt and blue baseball cap. ••
