Girl flees abduction attempt in Frankford

A 12-year-old Frankford girl escaped what may have been an abduction attempt near a neighborhood El station on March 4.

The victim was walking along Margaret Street toward the Margaret-Orthodox Station at about 3:10 p.m. when an unknown man driving a black SUV pulled alongside her and asked if she wanted a ride home. As the girl continued to walk, the man followed her, offering her a ride and asking how old she is, police said. The girl ran home and told her grandfather about the incident.
