Surveillance video and public tips have helped police identify and capture two alleged serial armed robbers.

On June 6, officers arrested Soo Seo, 24, of the 500 block of N. Easton Road in Glenside, in connection three grocery store hold-ups in Feltonville, Crescentville and West Philadelphia. On May 19, Soo allegedly robbed Dayvis Food Market at 4764 Rorer St. He subsequently robbed Almonte Mini Market at 456 Van Kirk St. on May 26, as well as Serreta Grocery Store at 7453 Walnut St. on May 28. Police identified him as the alleged robber on May 31 and located him six days later.

Meanwhile, Shawn Turner, 18, of the 2400 block of N. 29th St., has been charged with three armed mobile phone store heists. His alleged spree began on May 5 at about 1:40 p.m. when he and an accomplice robbed the Metro PCS at 6820 Bustleton Ave. in Castor Gardens, followed by the T-mobile at 6420 Ridge Ave. in Roxborough two hours later, police said. Turner also was charged with robbing the Metro PCS at 540 Rising Sun Ave. in Hunting Park on May 9.

An anonymous tipster contacted authorities on May 23 to identify Turner as one of the men depicted in surveillance video. Police located Turner on May 28. ••
