Police searching for serial bank robber

A bank rob­ber struck for the second time on the same stretch of Welsh Road in the North­east on June 7.

Phil­adelphia po­lice have re-is­sued a wanted fli­er with a sur­veil­lance photo of the crook and ad­di­tion­al in­form­a­tion about the latest heist, which oc­curred at Cit­izens Bank, 2516 Welsh Road. Po­lice did not dis­close the time of the crime, dur­ing which the rob­ber presen­ted a threat­en­ing de­mand note to a tell­er, in­dic­at­ing that he had a gun. He fled in an un­known dir­ec­tion with an un­dis­closed amount of cash.

In­vest­ig­at­ors be­lieve that the same man robbed the PNC Bank at 2401 Welsh Road on May 29 , when he also handed a threat­en­ing note to a tell­er and fled with cash. He was de­scribed as white, in his early or middle 30s, 6 feet tall, thin, with a beard and mus­tache, a gray hood­ie, black pants and a tat­too on the right side of his neck.
