Two men rob Northwood store, assault worker

Po­lice are look­ing for two men who robbed a North­wood store and as­saul­ted an em­ploy­ee on June 25. 

The two men entered the store on the 5300 block of Ox­ford Av­en­ue at 8:40 p.m. and one took a soda to the counter. The oth­er sud­denly rushed for­ward, poin­ted a hand­gun at an em­ploy­ee and de­man­ded money. When a second em­ploy­ee tried to stop the rob­bery, the gun­man as­saul­ted him, po­lice said. One of the two men grabbed a jar that con­tained money and SEPTA tokens, put it in his back­pack, pushed the second em­ploy­ee to the floor and fled.

The gun­man is black, stands 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds and was wear­ing a black base­ball cap with “SOX” writ­ten on its front. The second man is black, about 20 years old and wore his hair in dread­locks. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs between 175 and 185 pounds.
