Man sought in bleach attack robbery

Police are looking for a man who threw bleach into the face of a robbery victim May 15 and also are seeking his alleged accomplice, who was arrested before skipping bail.

The man entered a beauty supply store on the 2400 block of Welsh Road during the morning of May 15 along with a young woman, police said. The two took some items without paying for them and left, police said. A few hours later, they returned, picked out some items and approached the counter to pay for them. When a 19-year-old woman employed at the store opened the cash register, the man threw bleach in her face. He then stole $100 and the young victim’s phone.

According to online court records, she posted $250 bail on May 23 but failed to appear for a June 3 preliminary hearing. She is charged with assault, robbery and related offenses.
