Typhoon relief fundraiser will be held Sunday

The Filipino Ex­ec­ut­ive Coun­cil of Great­er Phil­adelphia, in part­ner­ship with Fraternal Or­der of Po­lice Lodge 5 and the Phil­adelphia Po­lice De­part­ment, will host a fun­draiser for typhoon re­lief in the Phil­ip­pines on Sunday, Jan. 26, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the FOP’s Her­oes Ball­room, 11630 Car­oline Road.

The $30 ad­mis­sion charge in­cludes a buf­fet, draft beer and mu­sic­al en­ter­tain­ment, with spe­cial per­form­ances by Hec­tor Ser­rano and the Fuego and Cali­ente Dance Com­pany.

This event is part of a con­tinu­ing ef­fort to sup­port the vic­tims of Typhoon Haiy­an, which struck the Phil­ip­pines on Nov. 8, killing at least 6,200 people there. Pro­ceeds will go to vic­tims through Cath­ol­ic Re­lief Ser­vices.
