Kindergarten registration for Hackett School’s 2014-2015 school year begins on Jan. 21 and is ongoing until June.
The kindergarten open house at Hackett, located at 2161 E. York St., will take place on March 4 at 9:15 a.m.

Rizzo PAL sports sign-ups
Rizzo PAL is holding sign-ups for the following activities: NERF soccer for boys and girls age 6 to 8, in-house soccer for girls age 9 to 12, and in-house basketball for boys age 9 to 13.

PRCG to meet
The Port Richmond Community Group will meet on Thursday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians’ Church Hall, Allegheny Avenue at Gaul Street.
The group will discuss the progress of the city’s Land Bank creation, as well as changes to State Rep. John Taylor’s scrap metal legislation. Local band to play at Mother of Divine Grace

Breakfast at St. Laurentius
Join the students and faculty of St. Laurentius School, Holy Name of Jesus Parish on Sunday, January 26 for a community breakfast celebrating the start of Catholic Schools Week. Following breakfast, attendees are invited to take a tour of the school featuring the students “It’s A Small World” exhibit. Town hall meeting
The 26th Police District and RiverWards Crimewatch will host a town hall meeting covering crime trends and statistics for 2013 on Monday, Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 418 E.
