Police search for man who robbed Hammer Auto in Tacony

Police have asked the public for help identifying a man who broke into a Tacony business and stole a laptop computer on Dec. 9.

Surveillance cameras recorded the crime, which occurred at 1:15 a.m. at Hammer Auto Sales, 6825 Frankford Ave. The business was closed, but the burglar pried open the front door, police said. Cameras recorded him fleeing on foot toward Glenview Street. The burglar was described as white and 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build, glasses, a large puffy jacket and jeans.
