Two dead bodies found in burning car

Authorities have yet to release the names of two dead bodies who were discovered inside a burnt-out minivan in Frankford early Saturday.

A man identified as “John Doe” died from a gunshot wound of the head, while a woman identified as “Jane Doe” died in the vehicle fire, police said. Both were found inside a Ford Windstar parked on the 4600 block of Trenton St.

Firefighters were called to the scene at 3:55 a.m. and doused the flames within minutes, only to find the charred bodies inside the vehicle. The blaze has been ruled an arson. Police have identified no suspects and are unsure of a motive. ••
