Man robs Welsh Road bank

Armed with a piece of pa­per and Un­ab­omber-style sunglasses, an uniden­ti­fied man robbed a Far North­east Phil­adelphia bank last Fri­day.

The heist oc­curred at PNC Bank, 2401 Welsh Road, ac­cord­ing to the FBI. The crook entered the build­ing at about 1:21 p.m., handed a threat­en­ing de­mand note to a tell­er, ob­tained an un­dis­closed amount of cash and fled on foot. He was last seen head­ing north­bound on Bluegrass Road.

The rob­ber was de­scribed as white, about 50 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and thin with a gray sweat­shirt, blue pants, a dark knit cap and sunglasses. Call the FBI at 215-418-4000 to re­port in­form­a­tion. ••
