The heist occurred at about 11:15 p.m. at 7001 Roosevelt Blvd., police said. The robber entered the store, approached a clerk and demanded cash, stating, “Give me all the bills in the register.” The bandit claimed he had a gun and held his hand in his jacket pocket as if to conceal a weapon. The clerk surrendered an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robber fled the store and was last seen walking across Tyson Avenue toward an alley. He was described as white, 40 to 45 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 170 to 200 pounds with dark brown eyes. He wore a black scarf covering his face, a black knit cap possibly with an Eagles logo and an olive green jacket. Visit the Philadelphia Police channel on YouTube.com to view surveillance video.
