Ju­ni­or Night of­fers col­lege info

The Fath­er Judge and St. Hubert high school guid­ance de­part­ments will host a Ju­ni­or Night on Wed­nes­day, April 9, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the aud­it­or­i­um of Judge, at Row­land and Solly av­en­ues. 

A pan­el of col­lege ad­mis­sions of­ficers will be on hand to provide in­form­a­tion and an­swer ques­tions. Any­one is wel­come, but all 11th-grade stu­dents and their par­ents are en­cour­aged to at­tend. 

There will be guest speak­ers from La Salle Uni­versity, Holy Fam­ily Uni­versity and Com­munity Col­lege of Phil­adelphia. ••

‘Broad­way Sings’ on stage Sunday

Con­greg­a­tions of Shaare Shamay­im, at 9768 Ver­ree Road, will host Broad­way Sings on Sunday, April 6, at 3:30 p.m. The pro­fes­sion­al con­cert pro­duc­tion com­pany fea­tures stars of the Broad­way and na­tion­al tour­ing com­pan­ies of hit Broad­way shows. 

Re­served tick­ets cost $36 and $54. For $118, guests re­ceive front seat­ing and ad­mit­tance to a cock­tail re­cep­tion with the cast. Stu­dents un­der 18 pay $25. To or­der tick­ets, call 215-677-1600. ••

Award-win­ning show in Fox Chase

The Act­ors’ Group, in as­so­ci­ation with Phil­adelphia Parks and Re­cre­ation, will con­tin­ue its 18th an­niversary sea­son by present­ing School­house Rock Live! on April 4, 5, 11 and 12 at Fox Chase Ele­ment­ary School, Rhawn and Ridge­way streets.

A pop cul­ture phe­nomen­on comes to the mu­sic­al stage in the form of the Emmy Award-win­ning 1970s series of an­im­ated TV shorts that taught young view­ers his­tory, gram­mar, math, sci­ence and many more les­sons through clev­er, catchy songs. 

Mu­sic­al num­bers in­clude fa­mil­i­ar tunes Just a Bill, In­ter­jec­tions, Con­junc­tion Junc­tion and Lolly, Lolly, Lolly.

The two-act show fea­tures 21 act­ors ages 7 to 14 from the sur­round­ing com­munity. Tick­ets are avail­able at the door and cost $9 for adults and $6 for chil­dren. Call 215-742-7753 or email to drama­joe@ya­hoo.com. ••
