Authorities: NE man downloaded child pornography

A Castor Gar­dens man is fa­cing child por­no­graphy charges as a res­ult of the Pennsylvania at­tor­ney gen­er­al’s in­vest­ig­a­tion in­to the on­line shar­ing, down­load­ing and dis­tri­bu­tion of sexu­ally graph­ic im­ages of minors.

Au­thor­it­ies ar­res­ted Dav­id Ad­duci, 35, of the 2200 block of Knorr St., on Aug. 28 fol­low­ing an eight-month in­vest­ig­a­tion. In a news re­lease, the At­tor­ney Gen­er­al’s Of­fice stated that Ad­duci down­loaded im­ages of chil­dren as young as 3 en­gaged in sexu­ally graph­ic activ­ity. Agents searched Ad­duci’s home and seized com­puters and oth­er elec­tron­ic equip­ment, which will be ana­lyzed forensic­ally for il­leg­al files.

No fur­ther de­tails were re­leased. Ad­duci was charged with one count each of dis­trib­ut­ing and pos­sess­ing child por­no­graphy. He was not charged with pro­du­cing or man­u­fac­tur­ing child por­no­graphy. He was re­leased on Aug. 28 after post­ing 10 per­cent of $25,000 cash bail. He is sched­uled for a pre­lim­in­ary hear­ing on Sept. 16. ••
