Rizzo PAL signups
The Rizzo PAL Center is offering instructional basketball for boys and girls ages 6-8, and girls’ in-house basketball for ages 9-12. Also, a wiffleball league for boys ages 9-13. Sign-ups are Tuesday through Thursday, Sept. 25 and 26, from 4 to 8 p.m.

‘Blessing of the Animals’
St. Michael’s Lutheran Church will be offering a “Blessing of the Animals” worship service on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 10 a.m.
Leashed pets or pets in a container can be brought to the church for blessing during this service.

October’s Second Saturday
October’s Second Saturday in Port Richmond will feature a pumpkin art contest and showcase. Join in on the fun on Oct. 12, from 4 to 8 p.m., on the 3100 block of Richmond St., between Allegheny Avenue and Clearfield St.
For children, bring a painted pumpkin to be showcased on Richmond Street the day of the event.
For adults, bring your creatively carved pumpkin to be judged in our ‘Best Pumpkin on Richmond St.’ contest.
