Man charged with possession of child porn

A Castor Gar­dens man last week waived a pre­lim­in­ary hear­ing on charges that he down­loaded and shared child por­no­graphy via his per­son­al com­puter.

Dav­id Ad­duci, 35, of the 2200 block of Knorr St., is sched­uled for a Com­mon Pleas Court ar­raign­ment on Oct. 7 and re­mains free on $25,000 bail.

Au­thor­it­ies ar­res­ted Ad­duci on Aug. 28 fol­low­ing an eight-month in­vest­ig­a­tion by agents from the Pennsylvania at­tor­ney gen­er­al’s of­fice in­to the on­line shar­ing, down­load­ing and dis­tri­bu­tion of sexu­ally graph­ic im­ages of minors. Ad­duci al­legedly down­loaded im­ages of chil­dren as young as 3 en­gaged in sexu­ally graph­ic activ­ity. Ad­duci was charged with pos­sess­ing and dis­trib­ut­ing child por­no­graphy. He has not been charged with pro­du­cing or man­u­fac­tur­ing child por­no­graphy. ••
