Frankford man arrested in prostitution sting

A Frank­ford man was among six al­leged “Johns” whom Phil­adelphia po­lice roun­ded up dur­ing a pros­ti­tu­tion sting last Fri­day along Kens­ing­ton Av­en­ue.

In­dra Deo, 49, of the 4500 block of Griscom St., al­legedly went to the 2700 block of Kens­ing­ton Ave. near Somer­set Street and so­li­cited an un­der­cov­er po­lice of­ficer for sex. The five oth­er ac­cused hook­er pat­rons in­cluded Tyr­one Foucha, 48, of Rem­bert, S.C.; Al­len Nguy­en, 48, of the 100 block of Johns Road in Chel­ten­ham; Vi­cente Rivera, 54, of the 2600 block of Em­er­ald St. in Kens­ing­ton; An­thony Gambino, 54, of the 2700 block of Kens­ing­ton Ave. in Kens­ing­ton; and Jose Mar­tinez, 51, of the 2000 block of E. Ven­ango St. in Har­rowg­ate.

All six men were charged with pat­ron­iz­ing pros­ti­tu­tion and crim­in­al so­li­cit­a­tion. Po­lice seized $1,881 cash, three mo­tor vehicles and a bi­cycle from them.

The po­lice de­part­ment’s City­wide Vice unit con­duc­ted a sim­il­ar sting along the same cor­ridor on Sept. 4 and made six ar­rests. ••
