NE men nabbed in prostitution sting

Two North­east Phil­adelphia “Johns” and two from Port Rich­mond were among six men locked up by Phil­adelphia po­lice last Wed­nes­day in a pros­ti­tu­tion sting on Kens­ing­ton Av­en­ue.

Of­ficers from the City­wide Vice Unit posed as hook­ers work­ing the no­tori­ous thor­ough­fare in the 24th Po­lice Dis­trict, from Erie Av­en­ue to Le­high Av­en­ue. Six men al­legedly so­li­cited the un­der­cov­er cops for sex.

The de­fend­ants in­clude Trin­id­ad Tapia, 19, of the 5100 block of F St. in Felton­ville; Efrain Vi­ve­os, 32, of the 3100 block of Frank­ford Ave. in Kens­ing­ton; Manuel Cumbe, 43, of the 4500 block of Dit­man St. in Frank­ford; Shukhrat Er­gasahov, 20, of the 9500 block of Evans St. in Bustleton; Mars Al­im, 23, of the 3000 block of Rich­mond St. in Port Rich­mond; and Knuetel­ski Wil­demir, 41, of the 3300 block of Liv­ing­ston St. in Port Rich­mond.

All were charged with pat­ron­iz­ing pros­ti­tu­tion. Po­lice con­fis­cated $778 cash and four vehicles from them. ••
