Sweet as Honey

Honey is a beau­ti­ful pit bull mix with soul­ful golden eyes who came to Phil­adelphia’s An­im­al Care and Con­trol, at 111 W. Hunt­ing Park Ave., as a stray. Her tag num­ber is A20757479.

The 60-pound former mom is a sweet, kid-friendly dog who loves to play with ten­nis balls. She is house-trained and walks great on a leash. She knows some ba­sic com­mands such as sit, down and give.

Ad­op­tion hours are week­days from 1 to 8 p.m. and week­ends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ••

Heidi needs a home

Heidi is a sweet little gal who is happy to be in­side this chilly fall sea­son. She is in foster care with North­east An­im­al Res­cue.

The 5-month-old cat was found out­side, alone, try­ing to work her way in­to a colony of cats and their food bowls when she was res­cued. She is great with oth­er an­im­als and kids. She loves to snuggle and help her hu­man friends watch TV or read a book.

Heidi is spayed and cur­rent on vac­cin­a­tions, and has tested neg­at­ive for the fe­line im­mun­ode­fi­ciency and leuk­emia vir­uses.

Not one but Two-Socks

Two-Socks is an ad­or­able blue and white kit­ten who was found starving and orphaned at only 2 weeks old. He is in foster care via For­got­ten Cats.

The cat is su­per sweet and play­ful and en­joys play­ing with kids, adults, dogs and oth­er kit­ties.

Two-Socks is neutered and vac­cin­ated, and has tested neg­at­ive for the leuk­emia and im­mun­ode­fi­ciency vir­uses.
