Candy mak­ing class is at Fox Chase Lib­rary

Fox Chase Lib­rary, 501 Rhawn St., of­fers a fun night of adult Hal­loween candy mak­ing on Oct. 30 start­ing at 6:30 p.m. 

Presen­ted by Kit­chen Wiz­ards!, par­ti­cipants will learn tasty candy re­cipes and en­joy plenty of samples. Space is lim­ited.

Prince of Peace Church to host Fall Fest­iv­al

Join Prince of Peace Church in cel­eb­rat­ing the sea­son on Oct. 26 for its Fall Fest­iv­al. The event fea­tures an in­door flea mar­ket, crafts, baked goods and more. Homemade soups and lunch will be avail­able.

Tor­res­dale Lib­rary presents a “Boo-ling Party” on Oct. 26 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Tor­res­dale Lib­rary, 3079 Holme Ave. Listen to spooky stor­ies, fol­lowed by bowl­ing at Thun­der­bird Bowl­ing Cen­ter next door.

Zom­bies in­vade Tor­res­dale Lib­rary

Zom­bies take over Tor­res­dale Lib­rary, 3079 Holme Ave., on Oct. 30 from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. 

“Zom­bie Apo­ca­lypse” fea­tures Hal­loween stor­ies, games and more. This event is for chil­dren of all ages.

Hal­loween Parade is Sat­urday

The East Chel­ten­ham Com­munity Coun­cil presents its an­nu­al Hal­loween Parade on Sat­urday, Oct. 26. 

The parade starts at the Gos­pel of Grace Church park­ing lot on the corner of Cent­ral and Myrtle av­en­ues at 1:30 p.m. 

In the case of rain, the event will take place in the cafet­er­ia in the Row­land Com­munity Cen­ter. All par­ti­cipants will re­ceive a goody bag. ••

Fall Fest is at Holy Re­deem­er

Holy Re­deem­er D’Youville Man­or presents a fam­ily-friendly Fall Fest on Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1750 Quarry Road in Yard­ley. 

En­joy a day of pump­kin paint­ing, kar­ate demon­stra­tions, en­ter­tain­ment and more. Guests also get to view a scare­crow com­pet­i­tion fea­tur­ing entries from loc­al schools.

En­joy a Harry Pot­ter Hal­loween

On Oct. 27, Glen­cairn Mu­seum hosts a Harry Pot­ter-themed Hal­loween Fest­iv­al from noon to 4 p.m. Fam­ily-friendly activ­it­ies in­clude a scav­enger hunt, ap­pear­ance by “Dumble­dore,” wheat-weav­ing demon­stra­tions, face paint­ing and tours at the mu­seum’s nine-story me­di­ev­al-style castle. 

Glen­cairn Mu­seum is loc­ated at 1001 Cathed­ral Road in Bryn Athyn. Come in a Hal­loween cos­tume and re­ceive a treat. 

Gen­er­al ad­mis­sion is $8. Cost for seni­ors and stu­dents with ID is $6. Ad­mis­sion is free for mu­seum mem­bers and chil­dren 4 and young­er.
