Tommy Rispo Jr. was walking and talking to a Fox29 reporter just days after the incident, with a large bandage on his head and bandages all over his back.

He told Fox29 that he was running home from playing with his friends when the SUV struck him, throwing him through the air. He landed on the street, striking his back and head.

Rispo said that the driver got out of the car after hitting him, asked if he was okay, and then drove away.

Witnesses and neighbors told Fox29 that the car was a black Infiniti SUV with a spare tire on the back, and with a partial license plate seen as “JH.”
