Police search for crook in bank heist

The FBI and Phil­adelphia po­lice are search­ing for an uniden­ti­fied rob­ber who tar­geted a North­east bank branch on Fri­day.

Au­thor­it­ies de­scribed the crook as a black man in his 30s, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a me­di­um build and a thin mous­tache and beard. He wore a gray and black base­ball cap with the Brook­lyn Nets bas­ket­ball team logo on the front. He also wore a plain black T-shirt.

The heist oc­curred at about 4 p.m. at PNC Bank, 2401 Welsh Road, when the rob­ber presen­ted a threat­en­ing de­mand note to a tell­er, then fled on foot with an un­dis­closed amount of cash. No in­jur­ies were re­por­ted.
