Police search for crook in bank heist

The FBI and Philadelphia police are searching for an unidentified robber who targeted a Northeast bank branch on Friday.

Authorities described the crook as a black man in his 30s, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build and a thin moustache and beard. He wore a gray and black baseball cap with the Brooklyn Nets basketball team logo on the front. He also wore a plain black T-shirt.

The heist occurred at about 4 p.m. at PNC Bank, 2401 Welsh Road, when the robber presented a threatening demand note to a teller, then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.
