A brightly garbed young man robbed the First Trust Bank branch on the 1900 block of Cottman Avenue Monday morning.

The 6-foot thin white man in his twenties was wearing a red Phillies baseball cap, a red T-shirt and a red long-sleeved shirt underneath, according to information released by the FBI.

The brown-haired man entered the bank at 10:04 a.m Monday, presented a threatening demand note to a teller and told the teller he was armed, the FBI stated in a news release. He never showed a weapon. After obtaining cash from the teller, he fled the bank.

Anyone with information on the robbery or the robber should call the FBI at 215-418-4000. Tipsters may remain anonymous. The man should be considered armed and dangerous, the FBI warned.
