MDG is host­ing its an­nu­al spa­ghetti sup­per on Sunday, Nov. 10, from 2 to 6 p.m. Tick­ets are $10 for adults, $5 for chil­dren, which can be pur­chased in the school hall on Mon­mouth Street. New busi­ness open house

The Mi­chael J. Primavera In­sur­ance Agency, Inc. a Farm­er’s In­sur­ance agency, will host a new busi­ness open house at 601 Bel­grade St. on Sat­urday, Nov. 9, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with free re­fresh­ments and a chance to meet neigh­bors and learn about the busi­ness. Fin­quita Fiesta

Beef-and-beer for Barb Zi­math

A beef and beer will be held on Fri­day, Nov. 8 for Bar­bara Zi­math, a Port Rich­mond wo­man as­saul­ted dur­ing a rob­bery. The fun­draiser will be from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Pol­ish Amer­ic­an String Band Hall, 2729 West­mo­re­land St. ••

Frank­lin Towne beef-and-beer

On Fri­day, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m., Frank­lin Towne Charter High School is hold­ing its an­nu­al beef and beer. There will be bas­kets for si­lent auc­tion and mul­tiple 50/50 chances.

Early Christ­mas bazaar 

Christ­mas comes early at St. John Can­ti­us on Nov. 8 and 9. En­joy games, homemade Pol­ish food, hol­i­day shop­ping and more at 4415 Al­mond St. The event will run from 6 to 9 p.m. on Fri­day, and 4 to 9 p.m. on Sat­urday. ••

A wreath-lay­ing ce­re­mony will be held by the Korean War Vet­er­ans, Chapter 38, on Monday, Nov. 11, at Camp­bell Square in Port Rich­mond, at Al­legheny Av­en­ue and Bel­grade Street, at 11 a.m. ••

Brides­burg His­tor­ic­al So­ci­ety to meet

The next meet­ing of the Brides­burg His­tor­ic­al So­ci­ety will be held on Wed­nes­day, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m. at Mari­an Hall on the north­w­est corner of Ed­ge­mont and Bucki­us Streets. The guest speak­er will be a rep­res­ent­at­ive  from Glen Fo­erd Man­sion. Ad­mis­sion is free. ••

St. Anne’s Christ­mas Bazaar

St. Anne’s will host a hol­i­day craft and Christ­mas Bazaar on Sat­urday, Nov. 16, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be held on the second floor in the So­cial Hall, Mem­ph­is and Tuck­er streets. 

There will be many vendors to buy from, plus Santa’s secret work­shop, and games for the chil­dren. The kit­chen will be selling homemade food. Tables are still avail­able for $25. To re­serve a table, call Kar­en 215-634-6138. ••

Kids Cook, a les­son on healthy eat­ing, on Monday, Nov. 18, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Mommy and Me, a story­book read­ing, on Wed­nes­day, Nov. 20, at 10:30 a.m. Preschool storytime will be the first Wed­nes­day of the month at 10:30 a.m. ••

Sons of Italy Ladies Night

Wreaths Across Palmer

Please sup­port “Wreaths Across Palmer” on Dec. 14 by help­ing hon­or vet­er­ans bur­ied in Palmer Cemetery. Vis­it waa.con­vio.net/goto/wreath­sacrosspalmer be­fore Nov. 30 to donate. Beef-and-beer for St. Joachim

A fun­draiser is be­ing held to sup­port St. Joachim Par­ish’s ap­peal to the Vat­ic­an to be re­opened. The beef and beer will be held on Fri­day, Dec. 13 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Phil­adelphia Ball­room, at 2014 Horn­ig Road. Tick­ets: $30.

Kids’ bas­ket­ball clin­ics

Once again, Jen Ricco-Mc­Cook is run­ning bas­ket­ball clin­ics for boys and girls ages 7 to 13. In­di­vidu­al clin­ics will be held Monday, Thursday, and Fri­day from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at Samuel Rec.

Brides­burg Rec. Christ­mas drive

Through the Aid for Friends Christ­mas 2013 drive, items for seni­or shut-ins are cur­rently be­ing col­lec­ted at the Brides­burg Re­cre­ation Cen­ter.

Classes at Brides­burg Rec.

Zumba classes are be­ing held Mondays and Thursdays from 7 to 8 p.m. Zumba Ton­ing is on Wed­nes­days. Cost: $4 per class. Scrap­book­ing class is Wed­nes­days from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

St. Anne’s bingo 

En­joy a smoke-free bingo game in the St. Anne’s so­cial hall with a full kit-chen. There are two pro­gress­ive jack-pots each week. The total prizes awar­ded each week are over $3,000.

Cione Rec Cen­ter

The Cione after school pro­gram now has open­ings. The pro­gram is for boys and girls age 5 to 12.  It runs from 2:30 to 6 p.m., Monday to Fri­day from now un­til Me­mori­al Day in May.
