Pistachio loves to play all day

Pistachio is a 1- to 2-year-old medium-sized dog who weighs around 40 pounds.

The terrier/boxer/pit bull mix is at Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control, at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave. His tag number is A17549700.

The dog, who was given up when his owners moved, knows how to sit and takes treats very nicely. He enjoys running and playing.

Adoption hours are weekdays from 1 to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ••

Benny is a sweetheart

Benny is a cute little orange kitten who lost an eye due to an infection but loves to play and get attention.

He is in foster care via Forgotten Cats. He gets along with other cats. He is vaccinated and neutered, and has tested negative for the feline leukemia and immunodeficiency viruses.

Monkee and Nutter are twice as nice

Monkee and Nutter are active purring machines who love to play with any toy that makes noise.

The brother and sister, who are 6 months old, are in the care of Northeast Animal Rescue. They had severe eye infections, but have been successfully treated, though they will always have impaired vision.

The dynamic duo enjoys life, including chasing each other and sleeping on the couch. It would be best if they are adopted together.

Monkee is spayed, and Nutter is neutered. They are microchipped and current on vaccinations, and have tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses.
